Start with the Basics
Selecting your outfits for your senior session is kind of a big deal! I suggest starting with colors that complement your skin, hair, and eye color. Neon pink may be your favorite color, but it's probably not what's going to look best in photos. I think that feeling comfortable (and not just physically comfortable), I'm also talking mentally comfortable, feeling good about yourself, is just as important as how the outfit looks on you! How you feel comes across in the pictures!
Adding Accessories
Adding accessories pulls your look together! Jewelry (bracelets, earrings, and necklaces), watches, sunglasses, hats, jackets, are all wonderful and simple ways to complete your look! Not only does it pull your look together, but wearing and removing the pieces gives more variety to your gallery. Look at the variety in Kallie's session.
Kallie chose jeans and a cute white linen top and a cowboy hat for a western look.
She also brought a duster to wear with it for a few shots. I loved it! It was a beautiful color that complemented her outfit and her skin and hair. And she had a beautiful belt!
This suede fringe poncho has a vibe all its own! It's from the Vibe Style Rack, and I brought it along hoping she would wear it for me for a few shots. (Thank you, Kal!)
This dress is also from the Vibe Style Rack. It was beautiful on Kallie! I brought along some turqouise jewelry, a cuff bracelet and earrings, for a little extra something and a nice contrast with the dress!
This Goes for the Guys, Too
Watches, bracelets, sunglasses, necklaces, jackets....I've seen all of these pieces really add to the look. Check out these images and how switching just a few things created a whole new look and vibe!
Vibe Perks
Vibe Photography works closely with you in preparing for your session! One of the perks for the girls is the Vibe Style Rack. A selection of fun, feminine, and editorial pieces are available to borrow from the Vibe Style Rack, including some accessories, shoes, and boots. Guys have the benefit of borrowing a jacket from local men's clothier Jackalope Stash, if you don't own a suit or jacket.
I love assisting you in getting the look you want for your session! And I always appreciate your willingness and trust in me when I make suggestions and little tweaks during the session, such as removing the tie, unbuttoning the jacket, putting on (and taking off sunglasses real slow), or throwing on a hippie poncho! It's a collaborative effort in getting amazing images!
